The problem
What Florida weather does to pavers
The Gulf Coast climate is hard on hardscape. UV exposure fades color out of pavers year-round. Summer rain and standing humidity feed algae and mold growth between and across the joints. Organic material works into porous travertine and concrete pavers and stains deep. Meanwhile, the polymeric sand that locks joints together breaks down over time, letting pavers shift, weeds push through and water undercut the base.
A pressure washer alone does not fix any of that. Blasting soft pavers with uncontrolled pressure scars the surface and strips joint sand without replacing it, which leaves the installation in worse shape than before. The cleaning method has to match the material, and the joint sand has to come back before the sealer goes down.

Every job starts with an on-site look at the actual pavers, checking the material and joint condition, what is growing on the surface, and whether any old sealer needs to come off so a new coat can bond properly. That inspection drives the written quote, so there are no surprises on the day.
Cleaning comes first, using the pressure and chemistry appropriate for the surface. Concrete pavers, travertine and natural stone each respond differently, and treating them the same way produces poor results. Once the surface is clean and dry, fresh polymeric joint sand goes back in before any sealer is applied. Sealing over compromised joints or skipping the re-sand step shortens how long the finish lasts and how well it protects.

How a typical job goes
On-site inspection and written quote
We come out to look at the pavers in person before quoting anything. That means checking the surface material, the state of the joint sand, what kind of staining or growth is present and whether existing sealer has failed or needs to be stripped. A written quote follows, based on what the job actually requires. You know the scope and the price before work starts, and nothing gets added without your approval.
Cleaning, stripping and re-sanding
We bring our own water and equipment, so the job does not depend on your outdoor spigot pressure or supply. Cleaning is done at the pressure and with the solutions suited to your surface. If old sealer is trapping dirt or preventing a new coat from bonding, we strip it first. Once the pavers are clean and fully dry, polymeric joint sand is worked back into the joints. This step is not optional: it stabilizes the pavers and limits weed intrusion, and without it the sealer has no proper base to bond to.
Sealer application and cure
The sealer is chosen for the surface and the look you want. Some homeowners prefer a wet, enhanced finish that deepens the color; others want a natural matte that keeps the paver looking uncoated. We go over those options before application. Once the sealer is down, we walk you through the cure window so you know when foot traffic and vehicles can return to the surface. The goal is a finish that holds up to the Florida climate, not one that looks good for a few weeks and then peels or hazes.
